Career Goals: My goal for the next three years of my career is to make the most out of the residency program at MacNeal, by learning what it takes to be a knowledgeable and experienced physician. Once I am done with my residency I might look forward to pursue a fellowship, given the state I will be after three years.
What I like about MacNeal: During my interview at MacNeal, I got a glimpse of the friendly and supportive work atmosphere, through the healthcare team, which I felt was a conducive environment to work. I also saw how the residents are very well taken care off and the education course is really well planned out. Hence I found it to be very suitable for me which is why I chose MacNeal.
Interests outside of Medicine: I am fond of dancing and I try to learn a new kind of dance form through classes. Recently I learnt Jive and found it to be the most appealing. During my free time, I get out of my home and hang out with my friends, explore nearby places. When at home I enjoy cooking and trying new dishes, while watching tv series.

Career Goals: I want to pursue a fellowship after the completion of my residency here with the goal that I would be able to evolve as a competent physician and would be serve the community in the best possible way.
What I like about MacNeal: The reason I choose MacNeal was because of my experience here during the interview. The faculty, residents and all the staff members I met here were helpful, friendly and approachable. This program is big enough to give us vast variety of clinical experience and small enough that we are able to know each other better. It feels like a family here and everyone is always available to help us out in every situation.
Interests outside of Medicine: I am interested in sports especially soccer and cricket. I play soccer myself as a goalkeeper and my favorite club is Chelsea. Other than that, I really love to cook and I am good at cooking Indian food.

Career Goals: I am interested in the challenging Cardiology and the intriguing rheumatology. I would like to pursue a fellowship after I further explore my options during my residency training.
What I like about MacNeal: Life knows what is best and gives it to us in ways we might not know. And I am happy to say that I have found a place so “family-like” which will be my home for the next few years. Residency is a period of rapid growth in our careers but at times, can also be very demanding physically, mentally and emotionally. And having supportive and understanding people around, I believe, is what makes this period fruitful. And of course, Chicago! Being near to the "Windy city" has its perks!!
Interests outside of Medicine: Books! I have a penchant for fiction, mythology, classics, philosophy and astrophysics. Playing strategy and simulation games on PC (especially with my brother). Traveling and adventure sports enthusiast. Carnatic music singer. Badminton for re-energizing. Yoga for relaxing. Creative writing and scrapbooking for “me time”. And I love to continue testing my skills in short film making (PS: Experimented twice so far).

What I like about MacNeal: After doing my sub-internship at MacNeal, I really felt at home here. Each time I returned (for my interview and subsequent orientation) I felt like I was coming home. The residents, attendings, nurses, and everyone else foster a supportive and friendly environment. The quality of teaching, whether it be bedside or didactic, is exceptional. What I like about MacNeal: During my interview day at MacNeal I felt a sense of warmth and
comfort. I could connect myself with the environment around and right away knew that I want to do my residency from MacNeal Hospital. The hospital serves the community and I want to be a part of this and help in giving back my share to the community.
Interests outside of Medicine: I like adventure activities and have done zip lining, para-sailing, river crossing, river rafting, and hiking. On the other hand, at times I love to stay at home and make abstract doodles and play around with colors.

It truly feels like family here. I really like that we get to treat and care for a diverse population of patients in our community. Being affiliated with Loyola also gives us access to great resources and learning opportunities.
Interests outside of Medicine: My greatest passion is pencil portrait drawing. I love to go to the gym, watch sumo wrestling and I am a huge Real Madrid fan. I always enjoy playing videogames, reading novels, and meeting people from different cultures.

What I like about MacNeal: The most important thing that drew me to MacNeal was its people. Next, due to the diverse population we serve at MacNeal I knew I would see a range of pathology with varying presentations and learn a lot, which also made me excited about my training at MacNeal.
Interests outside of Medicine: I love traveling! I think exploring various cuisines and cultures is one of the best ways to spend my free time. I also enjoy spending time outdoors a lot; it could be anything from hiking in a nice trail to relaxing in a beach. I also love poetry, both writing and reading. Meditation, yoga and staying active are also part of my life!

What I like about MacNeal: I like the myriad of pathologies patients present with at MacNeal. This in combination with such helpful and supportive faculty, seniors and staff ensures an ideal learning environment.
Interests outside of Medicine: I really enjoy playing sports like basketball, cricket and table tennis. My personal favorite, however, is soccer, which I also follow passionately. Along with sports, I also enjoy playing guitar and ukulele. My other hobbies include reading about history of the world, playing chess and making latte art.

What I like about MacNeal: The best part of the residency program so far is the camaraderie among residents. Despite having different cultural backgrounds there is so much more that we have in common. I think that all of us consider medicine and residency in particular as a team effort and working with people you laugh with and like to hang out outside of the hospital has such a great impact on the work environment. In addition, the faculty is approachable and invested in teaching. I moved to the U.S. for residency and wanted to be in a city with a high quality of life. I love living in Chicago and being within walking distance of the lake, parks and downtown with all its museums, bars and restaurants.
Interests outside of Medicine: Skiing; strolling, running or cycling along the shore of Lake Michigan; trying out new cuisines; watching my stocks rise; listening to classical and film music and currently growing basil and zucchini.

What I like about MacNeal: I was impressed with the camaraderie that prevails throughout the program. I am happy to be a part of the MacNeal family for the next three years, plus the hospital has a great location in a nice neighborhood close to Chicago.
Interests outside of Medicine: I love photography but my real passions are traveling and cooking. Meeting new people and experiencing different cultures is exciting for me. I love experimenting in the kitchen.

What I like about MacNeal: My first experience at MacNeal Hospital was completing my sub-internship. The staff and residents were very friendly and welcoming; I knew right away that MacNeal was a good fit for me. The learning environment, as well as the approachability of the attendings and senior residents, was something that really hit home. I felt as though I was part of the team from day one and I'm excited to continue at MacNeal in a larger role.
Interests outside of Medicine: My interests outside of medicine include outdoor activities, running, and playing guitar. I also enjoy listening to live music and I'm an avid Chicago sports fan.

What I like about MacNeal: With great satisfaction I must confess I am glad I found a place like MacNeal Hospital to start my Internal Medicine Residency training. The Internal Medicine Residency Program at MacNeal Hospital provides plenty of opportunity to both interact with a diverse patient population and cooperate with other specialties to always deliver the best possible care to our patients. Furthermore, the family-like environment at MacNeal Hospital - which is unique and priceless - facilitates a fluid communication with consultants. I firmly believe it will help me stay on top of the latest developments in multiple specialties and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
Interests outside of Medicine: Unquestionably, being a proud father of a four-year-old child has given me a valuable insight to incorporate in my life a diversity of activities that my wife and I together enjoy. Watching movies is our favorite hobby, especially animated movies, my son loves them. Additionally, we love family trips. Traveling around the country gives us the chance to better appreciate the diverse aspects of American culture. In fact, traveling around the world is what my wife and I have planned for retirement.
